Park Run

We joined the awesome, worldwide parkrun initiative in May 2013, and itís been a great addition to ROOT44 Market, offering families a fantastic way to get outdoors while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the winelands. These free, weekly, 5 km timed runs happen all around the world every Saturday, though weíre pretty sure our route through Audaciaís vineyards with the gorgeous Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountain ranges around you, must be one of the globeís most scenic! Parkrun is an all-weather event and happens every Saturday at 8am sharp. Itís a family-orientated affair, catering for all ages and fitness levels, which means itís suitable for serious athletes and those who would like to just take a leisurely stroll along the route instead. We look forward to seeing you there!

Agnes of God

Agnes of God is a well-known play by John Pielmeier, which tells the story of a novice nun who gives birth and insists that the dead child was the result of a virgin conception. A psychiatrist and the mother superior of the convent clash during the resulting investigation. All 3 roles are considered demanding for the actors playing them. Martha, the psychiatrist cover the full gamut of emotion during the play. Going from nurturer to antagonist, whilst Mother Superior must expound the possibilities of miracles amidst the realities of today`s world. Agnes is a beautiful but tormented soul who`s abusive upbringing has affected her ability to think rationally.
