De Beers AFC was established in 1902 by the factory workers from the old De Beers explosives factory and has flourished since then. De Beers boasts a total membership of about 430 active playing members including 100 seniors, 300 junior boys and 30 ladies and girls. De Beers is also proud to be supporting about 50 junior boys from the nearby disadvantaged community of Lwandle.
De Beers AFC is an amateur football club servicing the local community. Training is every Tuesday and Thursday evenings and matches are on Saturdays. Junior boys and girls (17 and under) train 17h15 to 18h30. Senior men and ladies from 19h00 to 20h30.
With the up and comming worldcup 2010 being hosted in South Africa we are expexcting an large influx of newcommers and growth in the club. As soccer is by far the largest existing and growing sport in the world today we predict a long and healthy future for the club.
