What do you love about Somerset West?
The footprints of my ancestors are here. The everlasting images of the Helderberg Nature Reserve in spring, the view from Sir Lowry's pass, Vergelegen, Lourensford, the sunset from Gordon's Bay and Spookhill are but a few.
How long have you been operating here?
September 2007. Brand new right next door to the historic barber at the revamped Morkels Arcade, now known as Fountain Square.
Describe your business...
Vintage / antiqued furnishings, gifts and accessories. The shop has a warm feeling which conjures up sweet nostalgic memories of yesteryear. Elements of rustic chic intertwined with delicate lace, tussy mussies and gorgeous handcrafted handbags, tablecloths and a potpourri of interesting antiquities.
How do you see the future of your line of business in Swest?
To provide a continued breath of freshness laced with nostalgic antiquity.
In your opinion, where's the "swestiest" place to be right now?
The secret is in appreciating and discovering the small businesses in all the wonderful little nooks and crannies of Somerset West. Their dedication and personal effort in making a difference to the discerning shopper makes such a difference.
